To be frank,
In this troubled world; there’s no ray of hope the trauma will soon decrease
But everyone wants to be told someday we would experience everlasting peace
That’s a lie, a consoling balm of words expressed to make your mind be at ease
Don’t be scared this ain’t a fictitious alarm intended to get you worried and upset
This ain’t about an alien attack but natural disasters & climate change posing a threat
The deadly Zika virus is fast decimating populations of people no cure is found yet
Planes fall from the skies; some till this day are missing from the radar without a clue
Suicide attacks are carried out by terrorists killing the innocent as reported daily on the news
You can’t shut your eyes and close your ears ignoring all despicable events around you
Face the facts, daily we bear witness as the world drifts to the edge of violent chaos
There seems to be no human solution to the myriad of problems surrounding us
It’s appallingly obvious our technology has exceeded our humanity” ain’t that disastrous?
Terror has become a global menace who would have thought it could be this worse?
The future is bleak when ISIS kids pose with decapitated bodies without showing remorse
I hate to state this, but the world is pummelled into an odious path driven by an evil force
I need you to ponder, have you ever wondered why they say “the good old days are gone?
If you can recall, there was a time when showing love to one another was a cherished norm
You could let a stranded stranger spend a night in your home without fear of any harm
Reflect on what is obtainable today, we live in a society where it’s hard to trust a neighbour
We care less to keep in touch with close friends unless we are in distress or seeking favour
We burn bridges we cross and build walls around us with superficiality guiding our endeavours
How can we fight poverty, diseases and terrorism when we don’t trust and love each other?
How can we make the world a better place when religious bigotry and racism creates disorder?
To make it worse we destroy nature, we pollute our environment intentionally; we don’t bother
The politicians and clergy men would want to make you believe someday things will get better
For how long will you keep being stifled with lies? Wake up; tell yourself the truth if you are clever
No feasible solutions to all problems we face today the end is near, the picture only gets clearer
The truth is hard to embrace, but we are facing the moment of truth; the picture isn’t gratifying
Humanity is fated for the worse the end is near with every breath we take, there’s no denying
Search for the truth in scriptures you profess your faith in to make you understand I’m not lying.
